Winter 2007 presents us with a strong change of
direction for the upcoming season. With influences
from a variety of decades including the 1920's,
60's and 80's, womenswear offers looks that are
refreshingly simple as elegance continues. Sobriety
is the latest buzz word, reflecting a new pared
down approach to dressing and we see a renewed emphasis
on silhouette and fabric. There is
a sense of covering up from head to toe, through
voluminous cocooning shapes, or soft unstructured
layering. This new mood for modern minimalism will
affect design, color, fabric, yarn, print, silhouette
and of course, accessories.
